Thanks to the generous support of Telus and Vancity, Dr. Peter Centre banners adorned the Granville Street Bridge August through September, 2006. The vibrant banners of Tiko Kerr 's Dr. Peter Centre painting served as a visual marking of nearly ten years of Comfort Care at the Dr. Peter Centre as well as the pioneering role that Vancouver has played in the last decade. For it was ten years ago, the summer of 1996, that Vancouver caught the world's attention with the breakthrough in life extending HIV drug therapies announced at the International AIDS Conference held here.
